Hi everyone!

You haven’t heard much from me lately as I took another sabbatical from blogging to continue my studies in Feng Shui.

(There is always more to learn and as you know, feng shui is my passion)!I’m so excited to share some wonderful ideas and tips on how Feng Shui can improve your life! I will be blogging regularly to assist you in any way I can!

I must tell you the joy I personally receive from having good Feng Shui in my own life. I’ve had many challenges,  my share of heartbreak and disappointments but I can tell you truthfully, that with out the balance and  harmony that feng shui has provided for me, I would be a mess!

No, I’m not being dramatic…it’s true!!

I also believe in the power of prayer. Since Feng Shui has absolutely nothing to do with religion, I am free to worship as I wish. Feng Shui will never get in the way of my strong belief in God and my Christian beliefs.

I also receive so much joy from my clients who report such wonderful results from having Feng Shui done in their homes and offices! Maybe that’s why I often suffer from TMJ symptoms as I’m constantly smiling from ear to ear! (I must run that by my doctor)!!

Today I have a tip for you!

I get questions about mirrors so often in my practice that I decided to  devote some blogging time to try and clear up some confusion.

So many people ask me about mirrors in the bedroom! In our school of Feng Shui, mirrors placed correctly in a bedroom are a good source of positive energy.

A round or oval mirror in a master bedroom is always good for marital harmony. (If you’re standing at the door of your bedroom, the best place for the mirror would be the far right corner of the room. This is considered the Marriage and Relationship corner of the bedroom).

Another good place would be on the wall behind your bed. Now, many of you worry about earthquakes here in California, but if you have a good handyman who can secure it with bolts, etc. you’ll be fine.

The main “remedy” for a mirror behind the bed is that issues of the past can be released and resolved. (This was important for me personally as I had to work through some painful issues in my own life)!

I have a lovely antique mirror behind my bed and I feel quite safe. The way it’s secured, the entire wall would have to fall, in which case? Oh dear!!

Check in with me again to get some more tips on how to encourage abundance, prosperity, better health and happier relationships with Feng Shui!

I send Many Blessings,

What exactly is a Feng Shui Money Tree?

Actually the correct name for what we think of as “Money Trees” is Pachira.

Pachira is a lovely, leafy plant and many people enjoy the beauty of this particular plant/tree.

According to feng shui principles, this plant is said to bring prosperity and abundance into your home if placed correctly.

I have a gorgeous Pachira in my Wealth area of my home that has grown to an amazing 7ft tall! It started out as a 1ft high baby plant. It is leafy and stunning and brings a beauty to my room that is unsurpassed!

The best part is that it needs so little care. Just a little sunlight and some water a few times a month is all that is needed.

I get my “Money Trees” from this online merchant. Just as fresh flowers are delivered to your door, you can purchase a beautiful fresh tree in any size and have it delivered safely to your home.

The use of Mirrors in Feng Shui

The use of mirrors in feng shui is often referred to as “the aspirin of feng shui.”

The reason is that mirrors produce many benefits and can create a host of enhancements, protection, and adjustments to aid in the healthy flow of energy throughout your environment.

One of the main reasons I love mirrors is that they provide a wonderful opportunity to pull in the aspects of nature into your space. (I often suggest the placement of a certain type of convex mirror for my clients who live near the ocean).

By placing a mirror on the outside wall of their home, reflecting the ocean, the mirror is used to pull in either Wealth, Business or Relationship energy)!

Feng Shui mirrors may also be used to push back what would be considered negative energy. By placing (what is called a BaGua mirror) facing the negativity, the mirror will reflect the negative energy back to it’s source.

One instance of a negativity would be your front door facing a T intersection, or outside your bedroom window, a huge power line is close by!

One place a mirror should never live is at the foot of your bed. This is agreed on by all schools of Feng Shui!

That being said, our school of Feng Shui teaches us that a round or oblong mirror placed in the SW wall of your bedroom can enhance marital harmony!

If your entryway seems congested first; clear out the clutter, and then open up the space with a mirror properly positioned on the wall.

If you’re looking for a wonderful assortment of mirrors to choose  from, you  may find something special from the website below. I shop here and love my choices! !

My clients tell  me that they have found some of the most beautiful mirrors at very affordable prices! CLICK HERE TO BROWSE!

Holiday Feng Shui!

I absolutely love this time of year! Without really trying hard, we can establish good feng shui easily during the holidays.

Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza are all about vibrant lights, colors, textures, family, parties, etc. etc. The joy and activity of the season creates great ‘chi’ or energy and healthy energy is what feng shui is all about.

Wherever you put your Christmas tree will add vibrant energy to the area it is placed in.

For instance, if placed in the South East area of your home, you will be stimulating Wealth and Abundance for however long the tree lives there. If placed in the South West area, you will be stimulating a surge of positive energy for all the relationships in your life.

Everyone who decorates the front of their home with sparkling lights is immediately drawing abundant energy into their home!

Fruits and vegetables on counter tops; red poinsettia’s; colorful holiday adornments, luminous lighting! Everything vital for prosperity and abundance!

You can see why we LOVE this season. It’s a wonderful way to prime your home for the new year ahead.

Happy Holidays to all!

Many Blessings

Feng Shui and Crystals

I have often been asked during my feng shui consultations with clients, if Crystals and Gems have the power to heal. The idea of gem therapy is not new and the practice of healing with crystals and gems has been around for centuries.

The ancient Greeks, Egyptians and the Vedas in India used crystals and gemstones to heal the body and transmit energy.

Crystals were also ground up and used in oral medicines.

Royalty wore crystals and gems close to their body because they believed that certain imbalances within their body could be corrected.

The usage of crystals and gems was used in ancient times to increase wealth, improve health, attain power and popularity when worn.

Shift forward to today, and we who are experienced in Feng Shui use the healing and balancing power of crystals to bring a better sense of well-being to our clients.

Feng Shui is all about bringing balance, harmony and order into your life. Multi-faceted pure Swarovski crystals are one of Feng Shui’s major remedies for creating a movement of vital energy within your living and working spaces. When you hang a crystal from the ceiling in any given room, it will encourage the universal life force to flow freely throughout the room. If the energy in a space does not flow freely, it may affect your health, finances, relationships or even your reputation.

Just as the use of hanging crystals can balance and energize your living and working spaces, you can also achieve so many health benefits from wearing certain crystals and gems as well!

Many people who wear  crystals will report having more energy or an improved sense of well-being.

Crystals have been known to improve immune function due to the vibrations they carry.

I know that when I wear combinations of crystals and gems, I feel better, work better and just feel more in harmony with my environment.

My hanging crystals in various rooms bring a wonderful flow of energy and good chi throughout my living and working spaces.

“I purchased 2 of your beautiful Jewels of Feng Shui bracelets recently. Wow, where do I start? In just that one week, I have signed my first very high profile client, have met someone interested in funding what could be a very lucrative venture for my business, and even met a wonderful man I have great chemistry with. I attribute some of my recent successes to the power of your jewels and the energy surrounding them.
Thank you so much! I will be back for more”

How Does Feng Shui Work?

Posted by | Posted in Feng Shui for the Family | Posted on 05-10-2011

EmailFacebookGoogle GmailGoogle+LinkedInTwitterPrintFriendlyShare

Many people ask me how does Feng Shui work?

It’s a logical question, especially since there seems to be so much mystery associated with the process.

The logic is actually quite simple. Chi or energy is a life force that flows throughout our bodies and around our homes and workplaces. What good feng shui does is balance and harmonize this life force energy so we become healthier in mind, body and spirit and we are more apt to realize our full potential in life!

Chi is a powerful force that flows through all living things. When your own personal chi is at it’s highest, you will feel strong and vital. Excercise, meditation, and being  with supportive family and friends will all contribute to stronger personal chi.

The chi of your home, for instance, can either work for you or against you. Every moment of every day your home environment is either supporting you or draining you of that all important life energy.

If you are being drained by your space, you might notice that your health may not be optimal. Your relationships may be suffering, and your ability to make and hold on to money maybe compromised in some way.

Your home is your “second body” and what goes on in your home directly impacts your life in general. either positively or negatively. Even though you might not be aware that this is happening, the inner truth of feng shui is that if you enhance your home’s chi, it will have a direct and immediate impact on your life. Therefore, having good feng shui and enhancing this powerful energy will create a wonderful pathway to maximizing your destiny!

Good Feng Shui is available to anyone who desires a more balanced and harmonious life!

Feng Shui Money Trees

What is a Feng Shui Money Tree?

A Feng Shui money tree represents all five elements, Water, Earth, Fire, Wood, and Metal, and thus tends to bring HARMONY into a space.

It is best placed in the area that represents WEALTH in your home and this area is generally found in the SE corner of your home. (You can also place it next to your cash register in your place of business).

Pachira is the correct name for this lovely, leafy plant. According to the principles of feng shui, this plant (or tree) is said to bring prosperity and abundance into your home if placed correctly.

Pachira is an indoor plant that doesn’t need a lot of care, which makes it super popular! A little sunlight and some water a few times a month is all it needs.

The tree can grow to a size of 7ft. tall and as broad as 3ft. wide. I have a gorgeous Money Tree in my home and it truly represents the abundance in my own life. It’s tall and stunning and makes my room look warm and inviting.

A beautiful Feng Shui Money Tree always makes a wonderful and thoughtful gift and is always appreciated.

I always go here to purchase the most beautiful and healthy money trees and lucky bamboo. I have never been disappointed as they arrive at my home looking gorgeous!

Desk facing a wall, a”no-no!”

EmailFacebookGoogle GmailGoogle+LinkedInTwitterPrintFriendlyShare

It doesn’t matter if your desk in  your home office or your office away from home. It’s important to understand how your desk position can either attract opportunities or stop them dead in their tracks.

If you are an executive, CEO of your company or just have a home based business, sitting at a desk facing the wall with your back to the door will block your opportunities or you will escape them all together!

We speak of the “commanding position” for your desk to enable you to attract more business success. The command position in basically toward the back of the room with a direct view of the door to the office. You can place your desk in either the back Center sector of your office, corresponding with  (FAME), the Back Left area, (Wealth) or back Right (Relationship) area.

All three of these positions put you in command of your business. Just make sure that your desk is not DIRECTLY in front of the door to your office space. That would put too much fast moving energy (chi) coming directly at you!

It you use these desk tips you will be inviting healthy opportunities and more business success!

Yours in Good Feng Shui!

Hollywood Feng Shui!

Posted by | Posted in Feng Shui and your Home | Posted on 28-02-2011

EmailFacebookGoogle GmailGoogle+LinkedInTwitterPrintFriendlyShare

Not long ago, a quite well known young actress called me for a Feng Shui consultation of her home. She had everything that a successful Hollywood acting career had to offer!

She was wealthy, and her newly purchased home was exquisite, built high over-looking the Pacific ocean. Known for her film roles, she was an international success enjoying perfect health, a loving relationship, a great relationship with the press and a stunning future. She had just moved into her dream home and within 3 months, her life took a turn for the worst.

A health issue landed her in the hospital. Her long term relationship took a tumble. Two car accidents, a lawsuit, a loss of coveted film roles and severe financial difficulties followed!

She became a tabloid favorite with extremely unfavorable press. She was quite depressed. A close friend of hers suggested that she see me to see if her home was possibly contributing to her misfortune.

After careful inspection of her home, I was able to zero in on much of what I thought was a factor in what she considered to be her rotten luck!

This wasn’t about luck, she had just moved into a home that was gorgeous but unfortunately, energetically imbalanced!  Sound strange to you? Energetically imbalanced. What does that mean? It may mean the difference between a life that attracts harmony and balance or a life in stress and confusion! Important stuff! And yes, it can originate in your home or workspace!

She had a staircase in the center of her home. (A staircase, stove, fireplace or bathroom in this area affects the physical and emotional health of the family. A loss of money is also common and residents may become more accident prone).

In addition, she had long hallways in her house, known to precipitate health issues along the mid-line of the body. This was evident in her hospitalization.

A swimming pool was in her back yard. A real beauty with water falls, jacuzzi..the works! The pool was located directly in the center of her backyard. (This area needs the FIRE element to support business success and reputation) Her huge pool was literally putting all the ‘fire’ out of her success. On top of that. all that water where Fire should be, made her vulnerable to lawsuits.

On further inspection, I found that she had a ‘missing’ area in her floor plan. The missing area was in the space in her home that nourishes relationships, be it romantic, social or business. In her case, all were affected.

The imbalance of energy in her home was considerable but I was able to suggest simple Feng Shui adjustments to help remedy her situation.

She is back on top and thriving! She’s now on location for the movie of her dreams and she has a new delicious relationship in her life! Her lawsuit was settled in her favor and her publicity is favorable again!

Case in point. Even celebrities don’t always lead charmed lives. Feng Shui is available to assist all of us to happier more fulfilled lives.

Feng Shui is not a ‘magic bullet’  that will cure all ills and misfortunes. Certainly not! But a home or workspace that has good feng shui will naturally put you in tune with the natural forces of nature and you will experience the results in a more happier, healthier and more productive life.

Many Blessings,

Happy Chinese New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year and Welcome to The Year of The Rabbit! (Also known as the Lunar New Year)

This year, Chinese New Year falls on February 3rd, 2011.

We welcome The Year of The Rabbit and the end of The Year of The Tiger!!

Tiger years can be turbulent with many people experiencing adversities, while Rabbit years are gentler and generally more productive. This year may find us experiencing more HARMONY in our lives. Good for all of us!

This year it may be possible for us to be happier and more carefree! But we must watch out that we don’t become over indulgent. The influence of Rabbit years tends to spoil those of us who like too much comfort, so it’s important to recognize and keep true to our sense of duty.

This year, money can be made easier than in Tiger years. You might feel a loosening of those purse strings allowing yourself a few of those luxuries that you have been yearning for!

To those born in the Year of The Rabbit, you are considered to be one of the luckiest and most  fortunate of all the animal signs.

Your sign symbolizes a person who is gracious and kind and often with impeccably good manners!

A Rabbit individual may appear indifferent to the opinions of others, but privately, he/she can wither under criticism.

A Rabbit child is often sweet, sensitive and even-tempered. A Rabbit child may often suffer from sleep difficulties.

This is a very powerful time for achieving Good Feng Shui!

Persons born within these date ranges can be said to have been born in the “Year of the Rabbit,” while also bearing the following elemental sign:[3]

  • 29 January 1903 – 15 February 1904: Water Rabbit
  • 14 February 1915 – 2 February 1916: Wood Rabbit
  • 2 February 1927 – 22 January 1928: Fire Rabbit
  • 19 February 1939 – 7 February 1940: Earth Rabbit
  • 6 February 1951 – 26 January 1952: Metal Rabbit
  • 25 January 1963 – 12 February 1964: Water Rabbit
  • 11 February 1975 – 30 January 1976: Wood Rabbit
  • 29 January 1987 – 16 February 1988: Fire Rabbit
  • 16 February 1999 – 4 February 2000 Earth Rabbit
  • 3 February 2011 – 22 January 2012: Metal Rabbit
  • 2023 – 2024: Water Rabbit
  • 2035 – 2036: Wood Rabbit
  • 2047 – 2048: Fire Rabbit

I wish you all a Healthy and Abundant New Year!
