Hi everyone!

You haven’t heard much from me lately as I took another sabbatical from blogging to continue my studies in Feng Shui.

(There is always more to learn and as you know, feng shui is my passion)!I’m so excited to share some wonderful ideas and tips on how Feng Shui can improve your life! I will be blogging regularly to assist you in any way I can!

I must tell you the joy I personally receive from having good Feng Shui in my own life. I’ve had many challenges,  my share of heartbreak and disappointments but I can tell you truthfully, that with out the balance and  harmony that feng shui has provided for me, I would be a mess!

No, I’m not being dramatic…it’s true!!

I also believe in the power of prayer. Since Feng Shui has absolutely nothing to do with religion, I am free to worship as I wish. Feng Shui will never get in the way of my strong belief in God and my Christian beliefs.

I also receive so much joy from my clients who report such wonderful results from having Feng Shui done in their homes and offices! Maybe that’s why I often suffer from TMJ symptoms as I’m constantly smiling from ear to ear! (I must run that by my doctor)!!

Today I have a tip for you!

MIRRORS!

I get questions about mirrors so often in my practice that I decided to  devote some blogging time to try and clear up some confusion.

So many people ask me about mirrors in the bedroom! In our school of Feng Shui, mirrors placed correctly in a bedroom are a good source of positive energy.

A round or oval mirror in a master bedroom is always good for marital harmony. (If you’re standing at the door of your bedroom, the best place for the mirror would be the far right corner of the room. This is considered the Marriage and Relationship corner of the bedroom).

Another good place would be on the wall behind your bed. Now, many of you worry about earthquakes here in California, but if you have a good handyman who can secure it with bolts, etc. you’ll be fine.

The main “remedy” for a mirror behind the bed is that issues of the past can be released and resolved. (This was important for me personally as I had to work through some painful issues in my own life)!

I have a lovely antique mirror behind my bed and I feel quite safe. The way it’s secured, the entire wall would have to fall, in which case? Oh dear!!

Check in with me again to get some more tips on how to encourage abundance, prosperity, better health and happier relationships with Feng Shui!

I send Many Blessings,

Elaine

Clutter and Your Relationships!.

Not too long ago, I had a consultation with a client who called me in to help her with a relationship she had with her boyfriend. They both felt “stuck” and were fighting all the time. When I got to the front door and rang the bell, I heard my client yell out, “Oh, just a minute…I want to clear the doorway.” I had a bad feeling!
As I entered the home, or rather “climbed” into the home over boxes, laundry and kitty litter, I could only wonder at what she had cleared out. My initial response was to tell her immediately that I could not work with her feng shui because of her enormous amount of clutter, particularly in her entry way. Feng Shui is about creating good energy in your space to help you achieve a healthier more prosperous life. In order to do that, the energy or “chi” has to be able to move freely throughout your home (or business spaces). The good energy should enter your spaces without having to plow through clutter. It will have no place to go but stagnate right where it is!
She had read that feng shui was able to help create a wonderful peaceful and communicative bedroom, especially with sparing partners. She begged me to look at her bedroom. She requested that I give her immediate “remedies” to help cure her relationship. I tried not to faint when I entered her bedroom.. She had clutter in every area of the room that went up the walls to her ceilings!
After explaining to her that there was no way I could possibly help her until she had a dramatic clutter clearing event, I put my arms around her and assured her that I would help her. I put her in contact with a wonderful professional organizer. She made the appointment and they both worked on transforming her home. My client then called me back. It was now time for Feng Shui!  I didn’t recognize her home!  It was simply remarkable! I looked at her and she was beaming. She looked healthier, rosy cheeks and she had lost weight. She and her boyfriend were starting to get along better, but it was now time to do her feng shui. I gave her some remedies to help with what had already started and the result was, I was just invited to their wedding in October!. They are happier than they have ever been, and I am so happy for them. .

Bottom line, clutter can keep you stagnant and stuck in so MANY areas of your life. Clear the clutter and feel what a difference it makes. You will feel joyous!

The use of Mirrors in Feng Shui

The use of mirrors in feng shui is often referred to as “the aspirin of feng shui.”

The reason is that mirrors produce many benefits and can create a host of enhancements, protection, and adjustments to aid in the healthy flow of energy throughout your environment.

One of the main reasons I love mirrors is that they provide a wonderful opportunity to pull in the aspects of nature into your space. (I often suggest the placement of a certain type of convex mirror for my clients who live near the ocean).

By placing a mirror on the outside wall of their home, reflecting the ocean, the mirror is used to pull in either Wealth, Business or Relationship energy)!

Feng Shui mirrors may also be used to push back what would be considered negative energy. By placing (what is called a BaGua mirror) facing the negativity, the mirror will reflect the negative energy back to it’s source.

One instance of a negativity would be your front door facing a T intersection, or outside your bedroom window, a huge power line is close by!

One place a mirror should never live is at the foot of your bed. This is agreed on by all schools of Feng Shui!

That being said, our school of Feng Shui teaches us that a round or oblong mirror placed in the SW wall of your bedroom can enhance marital harmony!

If your entryway seems congested first; clear out the clutter, and then open up the space with a mirror properly positioned on the wall.

If you’re looking for a wonderful assortment of mirrors to choose  from, you  may find something special from the website below. I shop here and love my choices! !

Finding Good Feng Shui Consultants!

Finding a  good feng shui consultant takes some time!

OK, I want you to get the most from your feng shui experience so please excuse me for “tooting my own horn!”

To introduce myself, my name is Elaine Giftos Wright and I am a certified feng shui consultant with over 4 years of training and 15 years of experience working as a professional feng shui consultant.. I have served literally hundreds and hundreds of individuals and families, successfully helping them to achieve happier more harmonious lives using the tools of feng shui. I absolutely love my work….. and the calls I get from people I have helped are my JOY!

Even though I am based in California, I serve clients all over the United States, including Hawaii, Europe and Australia either in person or by phone consultations.

Are you still with me? Hope so….I have a bit more to tell  you, So please hang in there!

My work includes; residential homes; condos; apartments; small businesses; stores; corporate offices; restaurants; hotels; schools; hospitals; doctor, dentist and attorney’s offices; film and recording studios; etc. etc.

Now, I get this question all the time!

Is Feng Shui some kind of a religion?

I would like to assure you that Feng Shui is not a religion, in any shape or form, and it does not conflict with anyone’s individual spiritual beliefs. And it is definitely not magic!

Feng Shui is based on science, and even though the practice is fairly new to this country (approx 18 years) it has served thousands upon thousands of people all over the world for centuries.

The philosophy of feng shui is really quite simple. If you are able to connect your personal energy to that of your immediate environment, you will be in tune with the natural forces of nature and you will experience the results in a happier more productive life. This is where feng shui comes in to help!

Now, to get the most from your feng shui experience, it’s important when you hire a feng shui consultant that you ask questions about her/his training and experience.

Unfortunately, I have witnessed individuals calling themselves feng shui consultants after they have read a few books on feng shui, or spent a weekend in a feng shui class!

This should never be acceptable!

Professional consulting in the art of feng shui takes training and experience and should never be taken lightly. It is also a good idea to obtain referrals and testimonials from others when you decide to hire a feng shui professional.

My feng shui clients enjoy a fun and extremely informative time with me, as I want their experience to be enjoyable but productive. After my initial in home consultation, I make myself available (at no extra charge) for as many phone consults that are needed to achieve the best possible results from the work.

I am passionate about feng shui as you might have guessed. I have personally achieved such tremendous results from incorporating feng shui into my own life, that it spirited me on to go to school and learn how I could help others as well….

Even though feng shui is not a “magic bullet” that can cure all your problems, these are some of the benefits that “good feng shui” may produce.

1. You may notice a reduction in stress and your physical and emotional health often improves,

2. You may begin to achieve happier relationships with your loved ones. Marital relationships often improve, sometimes, dramatically.

3. I get calls all the time from clients reporting more prosperity and abundance after they have implemented feng shui into their homes and offices. Businesses will often prosper.

4. Most clients report a sense of calm and harmony in their everyday life!

So, I hope that I have answered some of the questions that you might have had, and maybe it has brought you to a better understanding of what feng shui is all about.

I’d love for you to give me a call and chat with me about your own personal needs and perhaps, how I can assist you. It would be my pleasure and there is no obligtion to go foward if you choose not to.

I invite you to visit my website, http://www.way2fengshui.com  to download your FREE Ebook,  “How To Increase Your Finances With Feng Shui.” It’s a fun and easy read!

Also, after you download my  Free Ebook, check out some of my testimonials from some happy clients!

OK, enough “tooting my horn!” Thanks so much for ‘listening!’

Blessings,

Elaine

Desk facing a wall, a”no-no!”

It doesn’t matter if your desk in  your home office or your office away from home. It’s important to understand how your desk position can either attract opportunities or stop them dead in their tracks.

If you are an executive, CEO of your company or just have a home based business, sitting at a desk facing the wall with your back to the door will block your opportunities or you will escape them all together!

We speak of the “commanding position” for your desk to enable you to attract more business success. The command position in basically toward the back of the room with a direct view of the door to the office. You can place your desk in either the back Center sector of your office, corresponding with  (FAME), the Back Left area, (Wealth) or back Right (Relationship) area.

All three of these positions put you in command of your business. Just make sure that your desk is not DIRECTLY in front of the door to your office space. That would put too much fast moving energy (chi) coming directly at you!

It you use these desk tips you will be inviting healthy opportunities and more business success!

Yours in Good Feng Shui!

Blessings.

Elaine

Hollywood Feng Shui!

EmailFacebookGoogle GmailGoogle+LinkedInTwitterPrintFriendlyShare

Not long ago, a quite well known young actress called me for a Feng Shui consultation of her home. She had everything that a successful Hollywood acting career had to offer!

She was wealthy, and her newly purchased home was exquisite, built high over-looking the Pacific ocean. Known for her film roles, she was an international success enjoying perfect health, a loving relationship, a great relationship with the press and a stunning future. She had just moved into her dream home and within 3 months, her life took a turn for the worst.

A health issue landed her in the hospital. Her long term relationship took a tumble. Two car accidents, a lawsuit, a loss of coveted film roles and severe financial difficulties followed!

She became a tabloid favorite with extremely unfavorable press. She was quite depressed. A close friend of hers suggested that she see me to see if her home was possibly contributing to her misfortune.

After careful inspection of her home, I was able to zero in on much of what I thought was a factor in what she considered to be her rotten luck!

This wasn’t about luck, she had just moved into a home that was gorgeous but unfortunately, energetically imbalanced!  Sound strange to you? Energetically imbalanced. What does that mean? It may mean the difference between a life that attracts harmony and balance or a life in stress and confusion! Important stuff! And yes, it can originate in your home or workspace!

She had a staircase in the center of her home. (A staircase, stove, fireplace or bathroom in this area affects the physical and emotional health of the family. A loss of money is also common and residents may become more accident prone).

In addition, she had long hallways in her house, known to precipitate health issues along the mid-line of the body. This was evident in her hospitalization.

A swimming pool was in her back yard. A real beauty with water falls, jacuzzi..the works! The pool was located directly in the center of her backyard. (This area needs the FIRE element to support business success and reputation) Her huge pool was literally putting all the ‘fire’ out of her success. On top of that. all that water where Fire should be, made her vulnerable to lawsuits.

On further inspection, I found that she had a ‘missing’ area in her floor plan. The missing area was in the space in her home that nourishes relationships, be it romantic, social or business. In her case, all were affected.

The imbalance of energy in her home was considerable but I was able to suggest simple Feng Shui adjustments to help remedy her situation.

She is back on top and thriving! She’s now on location for the movie of her dreams and she has a new delicious relationship in her life! Her lawsuit was settled in her favor and her publicity is favorable again!

Case in point. Even celebrities don’t always lead charmed lives. Feng Shui is available to assist all of us to happier more fulfilled lives.

Feng Shui is not a ‘magic bullet’  that will cure all ills and misfortunes. Certainly not! But a home or workspace that has good feng shui will naturally put you in tune with the natural forces of nature and you will experience the results in a more happier, healthier and more productive life.

Many Blessings,

Elaine

Feng Shui And Romance!

EmailFacebookGoogle GmailGoogle+LinkedInTwitterPrintFriendlyShare

Are you looking for a new romance? Well, romance is in the air if you properly prepare!

Many single individuals often ask me how to draw in a new romantic partner using Feng Shui. Of course I tell them that feng shui is not a magic bullet to magically produce the love of your life  BUT, feng shui can certainly assist in bringing good energy to your home and perhaps drawing in that perfect mate.

When you create a bedroom that signals the universe that you are ready to share your life, you start the flow of energy in the right direction.

Foe instance, many single people set up their bedrooms with only themselves in mind. Of course  that would be logical since they are the only ones inhabiting the bedroom.

To signal the universe that you wish to share your space, you must begin by using “the power of two.”

Here are a few examples.

Even though you are the only one using the bed and you have your favorite side of the bed with an end table and lamp (why have two you ask)! This says clearly that you want to be alone!

You will want to set your bedroom up for two, so start by having another end table and lamp on the other side of the bed. Voila! It already is prepared for that special someone to share your space!

Color can create romance. Have a splash of Red, or Fuchsia in your bedroom. These colors create passion. Also, pink attracts Romance.  (Hanging a beautiful jeweled pink crystal) over your bed adds the color of love and romance.

Stay away from bright and busy patterns in the bedroom. Bright active colors are best in other rooms.

If you have items from past relationships, they MUST be extracted from the bedroom. You will not be able to bring in the new if you don’t release the past.

If possible, it’s best to buy a new bed after a relationship is over. At the very least, you should use new linens!

If you are a woman, please make sure that your bedroom isn’t all soft and fluffy. If it’s too sweet and frilly, a man won’t feel comfortable there.

DO NOT SLEEP UNDER A BEAM! This is feng shui 101! A beam will oppress your love life and also your health, so move the bed or use feng shui remedies to offset the problem.

Don’t flush away romance by having your bed too close to a bathroom. Always shut the door and keep the toilet seat down after you go to bed.

And of course, get rid of clutter in the bedroom! When you clear the clutter from your bedroom, you open up the room to new energy and a new love. If there is too much of your ‘stuff’ in your bedroom, you signal that there is no space left for anyone who may wish to share your life and/or bedroom!

De-clutter now!

Somewhere in your bedroom, hang a picture of a loving couple, never a single person. The images on your bedroom wall should be soft and loving, never an image that depicts loneliness, violence or sadness. (Be careful what you see on your walls. It reflects your life)!

To all of you looking for love, I wish you many blessings and the best of success!

Warmly

Elaine

Feng Shui, Exercise and Past Relationships

  • Don’t make your bedroom the focus of your workout. Remove exercise equipment. You don’t want your romantic relationship to feel like a workout, so remove those things which remind you of exercise.Remove any reminders of past relationships from your bedroom. This includes mementos, photos, journals, dried flowers, notes, love letters and old gifts from a former love. These items could be preventing you from allowing a new relationship into your life.
