You are getting married and you want it to be the happiest day of your life! The gown is bought, the wedding planner is on board, the food and cake tasting is scheduled and your wedding party has all agreed to “serve” you on your special day. Your groom to be is enjoying his last days of bachelorhood and looking forward to being a husband. All is well!
Well, let’s look at this special day. All of you brides want the most beautiful, harmonious, blissful day for you and your groom and you both deserve it! Nothing is more disappointing and exhausting than to have problems or “issues” on your wedding day!
So let’s talk about how feng shui can add to the serenity and beauty of this event. Your wedding can be made as perfect as possible by setting the tone with feng shui!
There are so MANY ways that feng shui can help to produce a beautiful serene wedding and I would like to touch on a few.
In Western tradition, the bride wears white. For good luck, the bride can wear a few red or crimson garments under her wedding gown. RED is the color of YANG energy and will help with your own energy during the long day. Even more fun, the color red ignites passion. (Your groom will be so surprised and pleased on your wedding night)!
It’s important that whatever room your choose for your reception does NOT have heavy beams across the ceiling! This can harm the energy of your entire wedding party and guests! Also, choose round tables for guests. Round is the symbol of unity in feng shui and particularly good for romantic relationships. Guests feel more comfortable and social. You can use gold or yellow napkins for extra good luck.
Mirrors are often referred to as “the aspirin of feng shui.” They solve many problems and create excellent energy when used correctly. To create even more abundance of LOVE in your marriage, try to include at least one mirror at your wedding. If you can manage to have a mirror positioned to reflect you and your groom during the ceremony itself or when you cut the cake or dance your first dance…you are well on your way to a life time of true LOVE!
Have your florist arrange your table flowers to include at least one wooden branch in each arrangement. Branches are typically made of WOOD and symbolize the EARTH element and represent UNITY!
As I have said, there is so much that feng shui can do to help with a successful wedding and prepare you for the future. I have personally worked with many brides either alone or with their wedding planners to help make their spectacular event the very best it could possible be!
The results have been awesome!
