The letters on the spinning wheel are known to translate to GOOD ENERGY or GOOD CHI coming your way!

I wanted to send you all the gift  of healthy energy and also a good Feng Shui Tip for Today!

BTW, I will be doing a FREE tele class with Landscape artist Julie Molinaire on Thursday, March 15th at 6:30pm PST and the subject will be: FENG SHUI FOR YOUR GARDEN.  Please click on the link below for more information. We would love to have you join us. It will be a very fun and informative call!

http://yourgardengoddess.com/feng-shui-in-the-garden/

Today, I would like to give you your first good Feng Shui gardening tip!

When planting, try to avoid trees or plants that have thorns. (Thorns or ‘pointed leaves’ CUT energy instead of compelling energy to flow freely!

Fruit trees are wonderful  as long as they’re kept healthy. Fruit trees are  exceptional because they attract life into your garden, as in birds, other animals and even buzzing insects!

This creates an abundance of good healthy chi that circulates and nourishes your entire out door space. Your whole family will appreciate this as you spend quality time outside this Spring and Summer!

Yours in Good Feng Shui! Many Blessings,

Elaine

Good Health, Good Feng Shui and FOOD!

The food we eat is about balancing the nutrients in our body to produce good health and energy. And it’s another source of achieving  Good Feng Shui!

I once knew an individual who only ate foods of one color! Green! Eccentric? Perhaps, but what he was doing to his system was unfortunate, and he thought he was “eating healthy!”

So you’re saying, “but he ate healthy veggies, how can that be bad?” Well, too much of a good thing CAN be bad! It’s all about balance!  The ying and yang of life.

My own opinion is not to be too fanatical about food in the name of HEALTH. Having a diet that excludes one entire food group is not what I would consider healthy!

To produce harmony and balance in our bodies, we need a variety of foods to stay healthy. Healthy ‘chi’ and  life balance are directly influenced by the food we eat. It begins with how the food is harvested, going right through how we cook it and the environment and mood in how we eat it!

So grabbing dinner standing over the sink is not recommended. Having arguments over dinner is harmful no matter how many organic foods are on the menu.

The food itself should achieve harmony and balance. Positive energy flows through food as well as everything else, therefore the source of that energy should be handled very carefully.

How We Achieve  Balance and Harmony in the Foods We Eat.

COLORS:

If you would like to eat to maintain good balance, good health and good feng shui, it is recommended that your plate contain a variety of colors and textures that resonate with each other.

FLAVORS

It’s important to try and use the yin/yang balance in your flavors as well. Achieving a good balance would include a meal that contains strong flavors along with delicate ones, all balanced by the use of vibrant colors.

AROMAS

It is so important to appreciate the aroma of the food cooking. It sets the tone of the meal soon to be enjoyed. If the cooking aroma ‘turns you off’ it’s best not to eat it as your body naturally will resist the food even if you are not aware of it.

Bon Appetite, and enjoy the good feng shui of your delicious dinner tonight!

Many Blessings,

Elaine

Valentine’s Day and Feng Shui!

Romance is in the air and so is sharing, loving and having fun!

We who practice Feng Shui love Valentine’s Day because of the usage of vibrant colors such as Pinks and Reds. These colors add tremendous energy especially if used in the South west areas of your home.

Pink is the color for love and romance and Red is the color of Passion! Adding these colors to your bedroom will spice things up!

What I thought might be fun to share with you today are some of the Valentine traditions around the world.

INDIA

Did you know that in India, Valentine’s Day is celebrated with much fervor and excitement, especially among the young?

The boys and girls take to the streets and form parades throughout the city. The rush of excitement regarding Valentines Day can be felt weeks before the actual day with adrenaline pumping in anticipation of the upcoming festival.

Jewelry is one of the main gifts exchanged between husband and wife on this romantic day. Boys search out teddy bears for their girlfriends and the shops sell out early. Gifts of love maps, tulips, baskets filled with rare artifacts are also very popular among lovers.

ITALY

Ahhhh…Italy! Land of love and passion! Italians take Valentine’s Day seriously and it is a popular day for Italians to get engaged or marry.

There is an old Italian tradition that on Valentine’s day, parents will wake up unmarried girls before sunrise. They believe that the first boy the young girl sees in the morning, or someone who looks like him will become her husband in the future.

Girls have been known to wake up early and stand in front of their windows to see if ‘Mr. Right” may be walking by!

IRELAND

The Irish like to exchange  poetry on this day. After all, this land has turned out some of the more famous poets in history!

They exchange love messages in the form of poetry to each other. The Irish will often cook delicious foods in the colors of Red and Pink to serve to their lovers. Red tinted bread, mashed potatoes and a red tinted cake is one of the favorites.

GREECE

I can’t forget Greece! Greece is the home of my ancestors. Men and women in Greece will often spend the entire day together on this very romantic day. If a Greek woman is given a bouquet of red roses, being emotional beings they will often break out in tears! (How well I know)!

Greek woman love scents and like to smell fresh. Perfume gifts from their men are always appreciated.

Greek men will often sing love songs to their beloveds, and the shops and tavernas are awash with celebrating couples.

Where ever you are on this special day, I wish you all the most happiest of all Valentine’s Days!!

Love and Blessings,

Elaine

Feng Shui Colors!

We are all affected by color! Every color evokes a different emotion in the mind of the beholder A red rose or a white lily will evoke different feelings altogether.

Let’s look at a few powerful colors and their attributes.

Light blue, white, lavender and  light green are all YIN colors (female) which gives a feeling of passive energy. These colors are dreamy in quality. Too much of these qualities can throw you out of balance. Adding some YANG colors (masculine) vibrant colors can balance the YIN and YANG of the space and add energy where needed.

Purple, according to Feng Shui principles is for physical healing and spiritual awareness. Placed in the SW area of your home, it can also power up your Wealth chi.

The colors representing fire (red) and wood (vibrant green) are powerful colors. These colors will give you positive energy needed for motivation!

Yellow, orange and gold are earth colors and they are often used in the center of the home for good health energy.

I will be blogging more often about the importance of color in our every day lives and how color can affect us.

In a depressed person, a lack of color may make the depression worse.

Holiday Feng Shui!

I absolutely love this time of year! Without really trying hard, we can establish good feng shui easily during the holidays.

Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza are all about vibrant lights, colors, textures, family, parties, etc. etc. The joy and activity of the season creates great ‘chi’ or energy and healthy energy is what feng shui is all about.

Wherever you put your Christmas tree will add vibrant energy to the area it is placed in.

For instance, if placed in the South East area of your home, you will be stimulating Wealth and Abundance for however long the tree lives there. If placed in the South West area, you will be stimulating a surge of positive energy for all the relationships in your life.

Everyone who decorates the front of their home with sparkling lights is immediately drawing abundant energy into their home!

Fruits and vegetables on counter tops; red poinsettia’s; colorful holiday adornments, luminous lighting! Everything vital for prosperity and abundance!

You can see why we LOVE this season. It’s a wonderful way to prime your home for the new year ahead.

Happy Holidays to all!

Many Blessings

Feng Shui and Crystals

I have often been asked during my feng shui consultations with clients, if Crystals and Gems have the power to heal. The idea of gem therapy is not new and the practice of healing with crystals and gems has been around for centuries.

The ancient Greeks, Egyptians and the Vedas in India used crystals and gemstones to heal the body and transmit energy.

Crystals were also ground up and used in oral medicines.

Royalty wore crystals and gems close to their body because they believed that certain imbalances within their body could be corrected.

The usage of crystals and gems was used in ancient times to increase wealth, improve health, attain power and popularity when worn.

Shift forward to today, and we who are experienced in Feng Shui use the healing and balancing power of crystals to bring a better sense of well-being to our clients.

Feng Shui is all about bringing balance, harmony and order into your life. Multi-faceted pure Swarovski crystals are one of Feng Shui’s major remedies for creating a movement of vital energy within your living and working spaces. When you hang a crystal from the ceiling in any given room, it will encourage the universal life force to flow freely throughout the room. If the energy in a space does not flow freely, it may affect your health, finances, relationships or even your reputation.

Just as the use of hanging crystals can balance and energize your living and working spaces, you can also achieve so many health benefits from wearing certain crystals and gems as well!

Many people who wear  crystals will report having more energy or an improved sense of well-being.

Crystals have been known to improve immune function due to the vibrations they carry.

I know that when I wear combinations of crystals and gems, I feel better, work better and just feel more in harmony with my environment.

My hanging crystals in various rooms bring a wonderful flow of energy and good chi throughout my living and working spaces.

“I purchased 2 of your beautiful Jewels of Feng Shui bracelets recently. Wow, where do I start? In just that one week, I have signed my first very high profile client, have met someone interested in funding what could be a very lucrative venture for my business, and even met a wonderful man I have great chemistry with. I attribute some of my recent successes to the power of your jewels and the energy surrounding them.
Thank you so much! I will be back for more”

Why Feng Shui??

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR HAVING GOOD FENG SHUI?

The essential reason for having feng shui done on your home and/or office space is so the energy or (chi) that flows throughout those spaces  can be more conducive to your health, development and success in life.

By optimizing and tuning the flow of energy within these spaces with feng shui,  you will directly benefit by feeling an enhanced energy in your every day life. You might notice your health improves. Your business may become more successful and perhaps, finances will improve as well. Relationships also may become happier and you will notice more harmony within your home and workspace.

Feng Shui Tip:

Keep Your stove clean!!

Did you know that your stove links to your money situation? That’s right!!

Keeping your stove clean cultivates positive Wealth Energy.  A stove that  has oil and/or food droppings can literally stagnate your flow of wealth and make it harder for you to hold onto money! So mop up those spills, my friends, and visualize money coming to you and not flowing out of your hands too quickly!

Thanksgiving is all about Gratitude

Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks for all of the many blessings in our lives.

I start every day with the feeling of gratitude for my own blessings and prayers for those who are needy of more abundance in their own lives.

I can truthfully say that Feng Shui is truly a blessing in my life.

When I was first introduced to the practice many years ago, my husband and I were facing a number of difficulties in our life. A good and kind friend who was way ahead of his time…… (In the eighties no one had heard of Feng Shui) gifted us with a  feng shui consultation in hopes of healing some of the troubles in our life.

The results for us were truly miraculous!! For us, the positive changes in our lives were so profound that I wanted to learn what this “Feng Shui’ was all about!

I began to study, and study. I then began to test my knowledge on my friends and family, and lo and behold, their lives improved! I studied more!
I became a certified professional feng shui consultant in 1993.

The rewards of my work as a feng shui consultant for the last 18 years have been astounding. I am able to do for others what was done for me so many years ago, and for that I am forever grateful. One of the great rewards of my work is that I, myself, experience more harmony and balance in my own life.

I wish a Happy Thanksgiving and Many Blessings to you all!

De-cluttering Children’s Bedrooms. Help!

0

Posted by | Posted in Feng Shui for Children | Posted on 15-11-2011

Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

Ever open the door to your child’s bedroom and feel overwhelmed with all the clutter your kids create? Sound familiar?

Maybe you can’t even cross the room without stepping on clothes, toys, games, stuffed animals and maybe even  a CD or two.

NOTE: A child’s bedroom is the external reflection of who he or she is internally. It is essential to create HARMONY rather than CHAOS!

You may be tearing your hair out trying to reason with your child, but children naturally seem to want  a lot of “stuff” surrounding them, so it’s important not to yell, scream or otherwise intimidate them into cleaning their room. There may be a better way!

The first thing you might be tempted to do is to clean the room yourself. (Mom’s often fall into this trap)!  How long did it take for them to re-create their piles of junk on your nicely cleared floors and table tops? A day, two days… a week?

Also worth noting is that you send your child a message that he or she is not in control of his/her own space when you charge into their rooms clearing and scouring!

So, enough hair pulling…Let’s get down to some solutions!

Act As A  Team!

If you work together you will most likely find solutions that will work for both of you and not threaten the child’s feeling of ownership of his/her own space.

The kind of clutter that should be more difficult to remove is not usually the transient clutter that collects from day to day but the items that stay put for weeks on end.

Items in question may be books, clothes, stuffed animals, games. etc. Often so much time has passed that your child has either out grown the clothes that have accumulated or has become too old for most of the games, stuffed animals, toys and books. But getting them to part with some of these ‘cherished’ items could become a tug of war!

A possible solution may be asking your child to donate some of his outgrown possessions to  under-privileged children.

Allowing children to make decisions  in giving away some of their possessions to a child less fortunate will also teach compassion. The child feels empowered by doing something nice for someone and it lessens the feelings of LOSS..

The above solution has worked numerous times with so many of my feng shui clients that I thought I would pass it on!

Just a thought about possibly hiding storage under your child’s bed. This is to be avoided because it could prevent a free flow of chi circulating above and below the bed. This could disrupt sleep and even impact the health of a susceptible child.

Children want to be proactive in decorating their rooms and I have two wonderful sites that you might want to check out for decor. You and your child can peruse the selections and together, choose JUST the right items you both love!

My clients have reported that this site below has wonderful area rugs for kids bedrooms! (Just click and shop)!

http://www.kidsrugshop.com/?source=pjn&subid=45169

If you have a daughter, you MUST check out this site for the most luscious goods for your special girl. http://www.laylagrayce.com/?SSAID=381962

Luscious is truly the word for their items!
